WordPress Programming Like a VIP

Though I’ve been working with WordPress since 2008, I didn’t consider myself a true professional until 2012. That’s when I started my first job focused not only on WordPress, but also as a WordPress.com VIP client. In this session, I’ll cover what I learned (and unlearned) by working with the talented VIP developers at Automattic, and why it was vital to building and maintaining high-traffic, enterprise-level WordPress sites that are secure and perform well.

Mike is a New Jersey-based web professional living and coding in the suburbs. During business hours you will find him in his home office building awesome things for some very cool publishers. Mike has worked on Rolling Stone, Variety, Billboard, CNET, and many others. A little about him personally. Mike is married to the wonderful Steph Auteri, who is a writer, editor, blogger, social media guru, yoga instructor, and mommy to our beautiful daughter, Emily Lorraine. A little more about him. Mike watches entirely too much television, drinks good beer, fences, eats things that incorporate hot sauce, and sometimes plays guitar and video games. He has also been reading a bit more lately, which is good.
