David Parsons

A New York City based Software Engineer. David moved to work with USA Today 2 years ago to develop code for the WordPress VIP platform. He originally picked up WordPress around 10 years ago in high school for fun and and ended up never looked back. You’ll often find him at a local conference or meetup talking about the latest trends in tech.

Jon Rodriguez

Technical Project Manager for WP Engine, specializing in helping businesses migrate and optimize their WordPress sites.  Jon is a recent Brooklyn resident, having moved from Austin, TX in 2015.  This is his third year at WordCamp NYC and his second as an organizer.

Joe Nickdow

Joe is a WordPress developer from New York. A majority of his time is spent helping businesses grow with WordPress.

Andres Escobar

Andres Escobar is the Lead Platform Developer at IOneDigital. He is a self-taught digital architect that believes in the WordPress mission to democratize publishing.

In his spare time, Andres volunteers teaching kids how to code in his home town of Hoboken, NJ.

Cassandra Nozil

My name is Cassandra Nozil, and I’m a web developer and graphic designer.

I went to Columbia University in the City of New York and I’ve worked with brands like Oracle, Columbia University Blinken Institute, and Columbia University Business School.

Timothy Heimbender

Tim has developed WordPress themes and plugins for over six years and is currently a Software Engineer at Bloomberg LP. Originally from upstate New York, he moved down to the city two years ago to hang out with cool people like you.

Yoko Nakano

Yoko Nakano is a Technical Sales Manager at Prime Strategy New York. She volunteered for WordCamp for the first time last year and met Prime Strategy. She used to join the open cource community in Japan. She is participating in the local meetups since she moved to NY as student.

Daniel Lee Hue

A New York City based Public Relations professional specialzing Tech, Food & Beverage, and Hospitality media relations. Daniel is a graduate of Pace University with B.A. in Communications (Media Studies) and Political Science. Having an extensive PR background formerly an Account Executive at PlanetPR, Principle at D. Miles Media LLC a boutique pr consultancy, and previously working within the Brand and New Business departments of PMK*BNC. Additional internships within MTV, Viacom, Comedy Central and FilmBuff.

Tom Harrigan

Tom is a Partner and VP of Strategic Technology at Alley Interactive. He works with enterprise level media companies and publishers. Over the past year, Tom has been creating experiences in voice technology with Amazon’s Alexa and leads development on VoiceWP, a plugin allowing any WordPress site to create its own Alexa skill.

Winstina Hughes

Winstina Hughes created her first WordPress blog for a Geographic Information Systems assignment, and followed it soon after with one on community development and suburban planning. She is a WordPress NYC Meetup co-organizer. Winstina bleeds scarlet (go Scarlet Knights), loves hip-hop, and adores WordPress software.
