Aaron Jorbin (http://aaron.jorb.in) works on AddThis, is a WordPress core contributor, and the author of a number of open source topics.  He has spoken at events across the country on a number of topics related to open source technology.  When he’s not busy creating and fixing bugs, Aaron serves as a simulation director at an educational simulation conference for over 1500 college students. His favorite toasts involve open source software, whisky, and the upper peninsula of Michigan.

Alex Miranda is the Editor-in-Chief of the social media press release distribution company PR Underground. He is also an SEO manager at Marknet Group Inc, a web design and online business strategy firm located in Brewster, NY. A master of WordPress SEO, Alex is the assistant organizer of The Hudson Valley WordPress Meetup group. He has spoken at numerous events. In 2010, Alex was the featured SEO speaker at WordCamp NYC.

Andrew is a veteran Web developer specializing and digital communication strategist. Since founding Andigo New Media in 1996, he and the Andigo team have helped clients build website and build digital marketing plans that include social media, search engine optimization, email marketing and content marketing components. Their engagement model combines information architecture, usability/user experience, and common sense.

Andrew graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy from Bucknell University. He engages in a range of community volunteer work and is an avid fly fisherman and cyclist. He also loves collecting meaningless trivia. (Did you know the Lone Ranger made his mask from the cloth of his brother’s vest after his brother was killed by “”the bad guys?””)

Austin lives and breathes life around words and people. He is a blogger, and genetically inclined connector, using his powers for good inside the WordPress community. He executes WP Engine’s digital strategy, writing guest posts about WordPress, and tweeting entirely too much at @austingunter.

Brad Williams is the co-founder of WebDevStudios.com, a co-host on WP Late Night, and the co-author of Professional WordPress and Professional WordPress Plugin Development. Brad has been developing websites for over 15 years, including the last 5 where he has focused on open-source technologies like WordPress.

I’m a developer at LongTail Video Inc with over 2 years of experience developing for WordPress.  I’m the lead developer for the successful JW Player Plugin for WordPress which helps users get the JW Player running seamlessly on their blogs.

Christopher Lauzon is the Head of Customer Happiness at WP Engine, focusing on providing excellent service and world class support to the WP Engine Community. Before WP Engine Chris specialized in eCommerce Consultation, helping and assisting 1000s of businesses with their web development projects.

Dana Skallman came to WordPress by way of tinkering with the outer-space of the internet and all the possibilities it holds for communicating, archiving information and displaying what’s of interest to people. It wasn’t long before she realized that her zeal for promoting equitable access to technology, without big business-reliance, lies in working with free/libre/open source software. It was a hobby that quickly spiraled into Glocal Web/Tech, a collective that builds web-based organizational infrastructure and provides ongoing support. Dana enjoys applying her techie skills to simplify technologies for individuals and organizations. She provides project work that plugs in various phases of technology uses. She is also a founding member of the Tadpole Collective, which provides expert WordPress hosting and support.

Eric is a Philly grown, Brooklyn based developer. He’s been working with WordPress for the last few years, currently as a developer for WebDevStudios.

I work at Automattic and do a mix of traditional engineering and marketing. On WordPress.com I mostly build internal tools we use to experiment with changes, and measure and analyze data from those experiments. Now I’m working on relaunching Code Poet, which will be a new resource for WordPress developers everywhere. I also grew up in NY, and I badly miss the pizza, bagels, and general hatred for the Red Sox.

Garth is Co-founder of Event Espresso and has over 10 years experience in business management and internet marketing. He competed in the 2011 Utah Entrepreneur Challenge for Event Espresso, taking home the grand prize of $40,000 for their business plan. He innovates new business forecasting and management techniques specific for the WordPress community. He has spoken at WordCamps Chicago, Salt Lake City, and Detroit on WordPress entrepreneurship and plugin development. He earned both a Master’s of Business Administration and a Master’s of Healthcare Administration from the University of Utah in 2011, and a Bachelor’s in Communications from Brigham Young University in 2006. His strengths are in business management, strategy, entrepreneurship and customer service. He enjoys helping other people and small businesses be successful, spending time with his family, and injuring himself in outdoor recreation.

Hal Goodtree is the Editor & Publisher of CaryCitizen.com, a 2011 Knight Foundation New Media Fellowship company. His expertise is on reaching local audiences small and large.

Jake Goldman is the owner of 10up LLC (10up.com), a distributed web agency focused on awesome WordPress implementations with 12 full time employees. At 10up, Jake works on exciting and wide ranging WordPress projects, like TechCrunch, NBC Universal Sports, 9to5 Mac, Hip2Save (the official deal blog of NBC’s Today Show), VentureBeat, and Trulia. Jake is a writer and expert reviewer for Smashing Magazine, teaches WordPress at Boston University, and has authored over a dozen highly rated WordPress plug-ins. Jake founded the WordPress Providence meet up, and has spoken at WordCamps around the country, including Boston, New York, Mid-Altantic, Chicago, and Miami.

I’m a designer/developer at the creative studio Trasaterra with my wife, designer Ewa Orzech, in Dumbo, Brooklyn. We specialize in visual branding. One of our primary focuses is designing and creating branded user interfaces for our clients.

Jeremy Clarke is a PHP, HTML, CSS and WordPress hacker from Montreal. He loves his job working on the nonprofit citizen media site Global Voices, where he manages dozens of WordPress sites, blogs, plugins, themes and a couple of bitchy Linux servers. He has a communications degree from Concordia University, but is mostly a self-taught web developer.

Jodie Barr is the founder of OrderStorm Inc. OrderStorm brings a robust, PCI compliant, SaaS shopping cart to the millions of small and medium sized business websites running on WordPress. Prior to founding OrderStorm, Jodie ran 7 online web stores from 2002 – 2010 selling motorcycle parts and farm and ranch supplies.  Jodie holds a Master of Science degree in Marketing from Colorado State University.

First introduced to WordPress in 2005, John has been an avid WordPress user, theme creator, and plugin author ever since. Among his various plugins is the popular breadcrumb plugin, Breadcrumb NavXT. When not working on his own projects, John helps support the small, 130 user, WordPress community at Weblogs.us. He also helps organize and frequently presents at MSP WordPress User Group meetings.
